Quader Siddiqui’s wife Nasreen Siddiqui passes away
Nasrin Siddiqui, wife of Krishak Sramik Janata League President Bangabir Quader Siddiqui, has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). She died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital Dhaka on Saturday night. She was 70 years old. Quader Siddiqui’s personal assistant Farid Ahmed confirmed the news of her death. He said that Nasrin Siddiqui suffered a brain hemorrhage on May 22.

She was first taken to the Neuro Sciences Hospital in Dhaka. Later, she was transferred to the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Square Hospital. There, she underwent brain surgery on May 24. She had been unconscious since May 22. She was kept on life support. Nasrin Siddiqui died at 11 pm yesterday. At that time, her husband Quader Siddiqui and relatives were present at her side. Farid Ahmed said that Nasrin Siddiqui’s body was brought to Quader Siddiqui’s residence ‘Sonar Bangla’ on District Sadar Road in Tangail city last night. Today, Sunday at 12 noon, the body will be taken to Quader Siddiqui’s ancestral residence ‘Siddiqui Cottage’ in Akurtakurpara. The first funeral will be held at PTI School ground after Zohr prayers. Later, the second funeral will be held at Quader Siddiqui’s village house in Chatihati, Nagbari Union, Kalihati Upazila after Asr prayers. He will be buried there in the family graveyard.
